We didn't eat here but we did enjoy a few drinks and the service was great. The coffees from the pool bar were lovely. The view from the pool area is exceptional. Arthur was so friendly and made check in an absolute breeze. The apartments stayed lovely and cool and felt very safe. We only used the fridge, kettle, plates etc and didn't cook anything but there is a hot plate, microwave and toaster. The bathroom has clearly been refitted recently and the waterfall shower head was amazing! Self catering facilities were excellent. The apartment had plenty of space and was spotlessly clean. We stayed in a two bedroom which had a terrace with a beautiful sea view and spotless gardens. We have just returned from a week in these apartments and we were really impressed. But I think a car would be good or taxis.… I would stay again as it was a great price for this holiday with jet2. Argostoli was beautiful and we loved watching the fishermen bring in their catch and sell to the l als from their boats we water also lucky enough to sea turtles and speak to the lovely marine biologists who are censoring and monitoring the turtles. Many were closed but we were early season. Lassi has lots of restaurants along the road. I suspect this gets super busy in the summer. You can hire 2- sunbeds and a parasol for 20€ which I think is great for the location ands the comfy beds. Turn left at the white taverna over looking the sea and costa costa is along the beach) a lovely beach bar area with padded sunbeds parasols and a great bar/restaurant. at the supermarket go down the hill and follow the signs for the beach. I did but it was tricky as I’d run down a steep hill only to find I couldn’t access the beach and would have to run back up! We found Costa costa (head down our hill take a left. I usually run along the coastline to find secluded beaches and nice tavernas. We stayed in May and the weather was a little tricky with rain for the first 2 days but this didn’t hamper our stay (See my other reviews for things to do) Beaches we’re hard to find as the landscape was dense. I’m a veggie so I’m not sure about the meat but there were burgers and sausages on offer. Arthur and his wife Mary were on hand for anything and served basic food such as English breakfast, omelettes and salads. The staff were friendly and put me in mind of a decent youth hostel. The accommodation was clean had everything you needed. I suspect a taxi would be in order when the weather really heats up. We are a fit bunch and believe me it was a killer after a day of sightseeing. We did have to transfer to a smaller shuttle bus to get to the accommodation and we soon realised why as the hill was VERY steep !! This really would cause problems for people with mobility issues (buggy’s/children) as you need to take the hill down and up in order to get anywhere. Barcelo Bavaro Palace All Inclusive ResortĪrthur greeted us when we arrived after a short trip from the airport.
